Twilight Collection – Exhibition 2018 – Beeler Gallery
Twilight Collection (2018) explores the interplay of light and shadow through high-contrast color fields, screenprint structures, and acrylic painting. The works navigate the space between opposing emotional states, where joy and melancholy coexist within the same visual field.
In Persian language and culture, “twilight” refers to a liminal time that is neither fully day nor fully night, a suspended threshold between two states. This idea resonates throughout the series, shaping its attention to transition, ambiguity, and emotional in-betweenness.
Through layered processes of print and paint, the collection reflects moments where perception shifts between clarity and uncertainty, presence and distance.
