Twilight 2018 grew from my experience of immigration and the feeling of living between places, memories, and ways of seeing. I was interested in the inconsistencies and contrasts that emerged within me, the sense of being both connected and distant, familiar and unfamiliar, present and elsewhere. Through acrylic painting and screenprint, I explored these shifting states through contrasts of light and shadow, color and darkness, clarity and uncertainty.
